2011-4-20 I would not call bone meal or dolomite fertilizers in this case. Bone meal is a slow release phosphorus source so it will release phosphorus to the soil microbial community over time (I still dig 10-20 year old bones out of my garden) but it won't give seedlings a quick fix (which is why I don't view it as a good fertilizer for container growing).
